Ginger Learns a Recall Command!

We didn’t know if Ginger liked receiving treats because when she first came to us she would only take treats if they were put on the floor in front of her. That quickly changed and now she is doing recalls. Notice that in this video Ginger is chewing on a bone. When she is given the recall command to come, she literally runs away from her bone. Considering that she just learned the recall command this week, this sweet girl is a fast learner, and loves positive reinforcement through food. She is a very trainable dog. (9/21/08)

I Love to Fetch and Play with My Toys!

Ginger loves when you throw her toys for her to fetch. She will chase them down and run around with them in her mouth. (9/20/08)

Now isn't that a one happy dog! Ginger is a loveable girl and enjoys playing with her toys and chewing on her bones.

I love squeaky ducks!

The duck is mine and no you may not play with it!

Yes, I am resting, but no you still cannot have my duck!

Feeling at home

Ginger was nervous coming into a new environment with two cats and a large male greyhound. In just a couple of days she is starting to feel at home. The cats accepted her rather quickly, and our male greyhound Lance even lets her share his toys and bed. (9/1/08)

Playful Ginger

Ginger playing in yard with Lance (8/31/08)

Ginger's first day in a house!

Ginger arrived at her foster home yesterday and she is a very quick learner. She has maneuvered the staircase and now is feeling confident about going up and down. She is comfortable in the crate and did well for the first night sleeping in it. She met the family cat and even allows him to sniff her. She has played and rolled around with her greyhound pal Lance. She has playful energy and really enjoys being in the yard sniffing around. She is excellent on the lead and appears to enjoy walks. Ginger is super sweet dog. (8/30/08)

Wed. Night Walks

Beautiful red brindle girl. Starts out shy but warms up quickly and will give the best kisses. Good on the leash. Playful but not wild. She settled down immediately when she returned to her kennel.
